I woke up this morning
the sun was sliding through the cracks
In the blinds that I pulled down last night
The smell of smoke was strong
Wrapped so tightly in my blankets
I let the alarm sound for 5 minutes
Before hitting it to turn it off
Tomorrow I won't wake
Let the sun slide over me
Let the sun rise and fall
Tomorrow I won't wake
I watched the ghosts walk down the hall
The dust rising up from their passage
They where once familiar faces
But I gave up on memorizing them
Gave up chasing them for attention
Tomorrow I won't wake
Let the birds fly past the window
Let the wind blow past
Tomorrow I wont wake
I felt the sting of abandonment
The sting of causing the feeling itself
The pain of sliding further
into the cracks of self loathing
Tomorrow I won't wake
The world will spin
The flowers will grow
tomorrow I won't wake
Please tell me what you think

Honestly, I think your writing gets better and better. You're one of my favorite writers.
