Only fools fall in love
They can't see the forest for the trees
They'd much rather watch the moon
Than listen to the breeze
And when it rains they're laughing
At the cloudy skies above
I know the answer, here it is
Only fools fall in love
Now love can break your beating heart
And love can drive you crazy
But fools will stand up to the pain
They say that love's amazing
So tell me why I feel the same
I'll shout it to the heavens above
And play this game that can't be won
Only fools fall in love
Why is it that we never learn
When we play these silly games
And always get our fingers burned
As we stand too close to the flames
For love is like the thorny rose
When we push and shove
It leaves a mark and tears our clothes
'coz only fools fall in love
It leaves a mark and tears our clothes
'coz only fools fall in love

That is a fun poem. Flows very well. Analogies are powerful. The last stanza is my favorite.
