Going, Going, Gone

Just where have you run to
just when will you return?
Ill sleep away these lazy days
and your memory will burn.

Dust under the carpet
"We" was born to decompose
we gave it all we ever had
but that's not enough, I suppose

I never ever cry for you
only the years that went to waste
and I'd never ever die for you
or our love born in haste.

We let it go effortlessly,
with a scar that tends to burn
and the hands that tried so hard
let go and had to learn.

I called you my gray rose
but even roses have to wilt
and we stay attached to the floor
though our worlds decide to tilt.

I called you my everything
but you up and ran away
and with the scar that tends to burn
I found another boy to light my way.
