The rain pours down on this shattered heart
those frozen tears the clouds have shed,
at last. I saw their eyes welling up
in the sky, and I saw them smile
to cover it for a while.
The rain pours down on this cold ground
the earth which never seems to care.
I felt the wind change, the world
was still, and in this silence
something disturbed my peace.
The rain the pours down on this stone
which formed itself into a million ones
all with breathe, none with hope. They wander
through each day with barely enough.
The rain pours down on the calm
tossing the air in many ways. It's silent
sobs are heard by my ears, I feel it's pain
in the drops on my skin. The elements
are weeping, and the atmosphere is sad.
It can wash away the stains
but not the cuts.
The rain that pours.
