Sad damned man's did too,
when the spell in spelling's broken -
Shah "I ran" would rue.
Slivered stein stoned somewhere frowning
down on me and you
Burning Bush_els uncropped drowning
what a motley crew !
How I once loved King Be Hen Ra !
when PEN pal I'd view,
choking on NEP pall I token
sigh emit ... You too ?

Point of View
Thanksgiving dinner's sad and thankless
Christmas dinner's dark and blue
When you stop and try to see it
From the turkey's point of view.
Sunday dinner isn't sunny
Easter feasts are just bad luck
When you see it from the viewpoint
Of a chicken or a duck.
Oh how I once loved tuna salad
Pork and lobsters, lamb chops too
'Til I stopped and looked at dinner
From the dinner's point of view.

Another one! Goodness gracious me, you are SKILLED at mimicing Shel, and what a message you do tell. Uh...rhyme unintended. I really liked the hints in each stanza at some leader or another, really. Way to not imitate the original poem's message, too, like some poets hardly deviate from their muses and virtually regurgitate the same poem. Nope, yours are original and I like it.
Kudos and clappers to you!
