pull me in with irresistible force
like shear winds orbiting a tornado
the gust of you to tear my heart free
from the soggy soil of my soul
while thunder and lightning shake me
and blast my bones to dust

draw me into clouds of you
grey and roiled, lowering down
with the weight of love’s storm in
overarching walls like waves that trip
in the rain and fall inundating me,
flooding the river of my heart

wash me in downpour,
sluice my spirit clean in the
runoff of love, soak me through
and through in your magic
waters and leave me in
a puddle of thick dreams
draining in the sun

sky’s blue and breezes gentle
your storm gathers again
just below the horizon

Turbulent, powerful. beautiful. I don't know why I'm leaving you so many empty comments.

To be soaked by storms like these is the best way to get "wet with love". Lovely intensity displayed here and great application of metaphor. I really liked this - good poetry (reminded me somewhat of a poem i've written along the same lines "cape of storms").
