Pink Tutus
And small frilly laces
Flying all over
Reflections of young girls
In mirrors
Spread out across
A small wooden room
Small feet
Moving to the beat
Of the tune
Beaming out
The black stereos on the corners
The ballerinas
Gracing the world
With their beauty and ease
I was not one of them
I wore black capes
With red strings
Tied around my wrists
I didn't dance
I watched them move
So perfect
No mistakes
I wondered how'd they'd taste
Just right?
I was never the same
Always different
Whispers surrounding me
Imprisoning me
With the sound of my name
Escaping hushed lips
So yeah,
When all the little girls
Dreamed about being ballerinas
I kinda wanted to be a vampire
Author notes
Well, I saw a poem using this prompt for a contest, so I decided to take a chance and try to write a poem with it. Prompt sounded interesting, hey why not?

Wow
You are such a talented writer! This doesn't seem to fit your personality, which is why I like it. Everyone has to not be themselves sometimes...
