Last Night

Missing image
Upon this garden bed
last night; laid her head.

Paradise truly found
an apricot moon; no sound.

Promise echo unspoken
two hearts; a golden token.

Sultry atmosphere sings
what this union will bring.

Stardust in his eyes
his dark purgatory realized.

All is not as it seems
his loving passion, his dream.

lovely poem, friend. it is simple but sweet... so sweet. it's nice to see a sensitive male. it doesn't happy very often teehee extra cheers for that!

i like the 2 line format. it's different from what i'm used to but i like it. it's a delicate little rhyme... very nicely done.

Beautiful romantic writing here. Again, your imagery is something else completely. Very very strong on that. I loved the rhyme in this too. Great flow to the piece. Well done indeed.

love the phrasing (apricot moon) I dig the structure too, and the nice rhythm it creates. "His dark purgatory realized" is a sublime phrase, suggesting a complex contradiction between the dream of desire and the realization of the same. Well done!
