Cranberry satin, thin stripped
ivory bows, pearls strewn
images
~sashaying,
Eyes of seaweed green
illuminate the dimness
the glint
~staggering
Cheekbones of high
the paleness of rosebud blush
invites
~warmly
The stick, upon lips
of the freshest cherry shade
parting slightly
~she reddens
Her elegance lingers

Oh a real feast for the mind, 'cherry' 'rosebud' 'ivory' 'cranberry satin' 'pearls' 'ii mages' that do indeed 'sashay' throughout the mind ..Beautiful

I liked the colours in this poem - the cranberry, cherry, rosebud blush, etc. - very nicely done.
I was just wondering why a poem that speaks of eleganceand grace, and captures so much light within it was written in such dark colours?? It was quite hard to read and I think a lighter font will add so much more impact to the poem (and make it more readable). But I did enjoy this...lovely sounds to this poem too.
Thank you for this entry.

At the time of posting this my power went out and I could not edit the color choices or background. I am at work and have now had the opportunity to change it.
Thanks.
