and Christmas under sheets
hiding out from loneliness

Easter comes and goes for me
mothers day i'll never have
there all just another day
in a life i have to live
my fate was sealed on that day
i gave my heart to you
the consequences you laid down
i even knew the rules
my eyes they were wide open
i knew just how things stood
didn't stop me hoping big
stop me from falling hard for you

someone you hide away
sneak around to be with
lie to your wife about working late
i know you'll never leave her
i've excepted that fact now
and so i'll play my part out
until the bitter end and broken heart
