It's just a matter of choices
and a bit of contemplation.
TheJapanese have a name for it,
an honorable ritual and solution:
Thrust blade to bowel and twist,
the dregs of despair drift away,
hot and red,
no more haunting of a soul.
That's one way. I'll ponder another.
Ah! An alchemist's cordial to terminate
lost hopes in deadly liquor,
or, perhaps, some pink pellets will do.
There's always the gun; messy
but effective. Blood spattered
on the wall and parts of brain and bone
scattered everywhere.
There are others, of course,
the razor, the noose, the balcony.
Serious deeds, serious dedications.
Time to pause and ponder,
to consider Hamlet's soliloquoy;
to be or not to be. To do or not to do.
That's the question.
Is it courage to take a chance on the aftermath,
or is it cowardice to say
I cannot cope with what fate has handed me?
After all, it's just a matter of choices.

You absolutely scare me to death! Such deep pondering on ways and means, aftershocks and the deeper comparisons of perspective. Brilliant.
