The food that we had,
the songs they would play,
and how we'd all sing.
For that night,
a spell was cast,
feeling so immortal,
it was not too late.
The laughter we shared,
and how they all cared,
a duet that ended with a harsh metal scream,
bringing a great awakening.
On the floor she danced,
until she ran out of breath.
He looked on in amazement,
for He realized just what he had.
Dawn approached,
and couples were together.
But one walked out,
into the early morning weather.
They both headed home,
together in the car.
They both were exhausted,
but they said they'd go far.
And rest came soon after,
with a bit more shared laughter.
These were the days,
and that was the night.
Where everything was going to be quite all right.
