A new struggle,
A new pain,
A new reminder of my loss of You,

Sitting on the floor,
begging for a reason why,

Broken and shattered,
Incomplete, missing the last piece
I thought I at least mattered

I wake up to an empty bed
Used to waking up to your arms instead,
I roll over now,
teddy bears can't hug back
but they love me more than you did.

The world is still whirling
Flowers blooming, skirts swirling
Life has continued,
My breathing has resumed.
I no longer call out for you at night.
I'm still fighting, I'm not dying.
My lips no longer pout for your kiss,
My heart no longer expects your sweet bliss
I've found new hapiness
I am my own strength, I will win this.
I'm still fighting, I'm not dying.
So when you're cold at night
or when you're shaking with fright
Remember you had me,
but now I'm free
and while I'm not dying,
I can't say the same for you.

I wonder how many of us can relate?
It seemed so impossible a year ago, looking back I was helpless, sure to die, but I fought my way through it, every day a new struggle, a new pain, as you have described, and I am here breathing. Alive. Almost put together again. A puzzle missing a piece, but holding itself together. I enjoy your style, your flow, keep up the great work. You really have a talent.
