I cry (Terri-Lynn) Sonnet

I cry myself to sleep each night
My eyes wont close as I am wondering why
They say that love takes away your sight
Yet I realize this is why I cry

As tears run down my icy cold cheeks
I ask God to answer my prayers
For each time I cry I become weak
As I lost your love, a love so rare

Love I have given, but devastation's what I take
Haunted by nightmares, scarred by these fears
Oh! how I cry for heavens sake
To again have thus love so near

I hope that when this nightmare's over there can be a new beginning
A magical journey with you on a life that's worth living

    A different poem.
One that hits me in a almost fairytale sense.
    Well Done.
I like the emotion and feel for this love you have described.
