Pride! That old despising miser
That wanders through the agile mind
It weaves; a tapestry of colour
Then blinds the fruitless to the joy
Fate; thoughtless and unassuming
Deriding dreams for happenstance
Aspects; the ladies oh so fickle
To choose a victor from the lost
Rage: Blinded with loss of reason
In instict baring brutal hearts
Anger; an elevated standard
That finds no tender place to rest
Time? Infused with bitter recall
Of chances gone, faded and lost
Respite; as age soon dooms to fall
Into a memories enthrall
Lies! If falsehood sings untrue
Still deem that truth is not for you
Repent; while time is nearer at hand
Before the holy take the stand
Still! At rest a furtive muse
Hurting we wish for avenues
Loyal? No; living is thanks enough
For all the wonders life entails
Sure: Until the moment has passed
For when the spirit's time to ask
Inspire? Or rot the soul away
Creation held, frozen to fade
