I sit here and wonder why
this lazy cat hasn't died,
I tried to kill her more than thrice
but just can't seem to get it right.
I spiked her drink for a week
but that remote control I could not take
her paw clinched tight
as a hydraulic brake.
An Electric current to her chair
this lazy cat did not stare
she munched away at her potato chips
and I just watched licking my lips.
The house is messy and she doesn't cook
But I'll get that remote by hook or crook
Then it dawned on me why she survived
it's because that cat has got nine lives.
So I packed my bags and all my woes
and on my way I did go
I shouldn't have married that lazy mog
becuase there's never love between a cat and dog.

I enjoyed reading about your wonderful pets, that infamous pair of 'cat and dog' just made my day! I'll bet they're really fun (and a handful) to have around the house!! Your brilliantly creative poem is an ode of loving joy, straight from your kind heart. Thank you for sharing. I wish you all the best!!! Peace, Cyn
