Felix thought his heaven had come true
being adopted from pet store, feline fantasies fluffed his fur.
Did his king of the house routine for canary and pair of hamsters,
strutting around the house after family left, giving them his hiss and predator's glare.
Lied down to take a cat nap, dreaming of ruling his domain,
when hamster bit his tail, quickly he gave it chase right into open cage.
Other hamster shut door, trio of plotters repeating act did for last fluffy monarch.
Life for royalty with claws taking such humble turn
they'll let him out, once hamsters lure pit bull, Killer, inside with sample of cat's hairs
practicing looking innocence when he snacks upon cat's crown.

Best of luck in this contest!
