One Beloved Ray--for Karen

With amazement I read her words
the ones that take me through her mind
as if I were on a vacation
through the beauty of Oregon.

Her pen has brought to her
many friends who love her dearly
and who feast on her poetry
as if without it they would cease to exist.

But more than anything
the love she injects into each letter
spews out and covers those
fortunate enough to know her
and love her.

Our Karen has become our darling
the one who has spread her sunshine
and allowed many of us to become
one of her beloved rays.

Thanks. Again this is a celebration of Karen and all that she has brought to us. It is our turn to give back. And give back you have wonderously. I appreciate the love and joy you demonstrate for Karen.
    Love, Tom B.

You have such a sweet soul. I know not the lady or her work but these words about her are so very touching. Best of luck in the contest.

    Sincerely,
    Leo Long

    Beautiful and true

You have put your poetic finger on the point - Karen is a darling who showers the people she loves with Love. Check the connotations of spew, a synonym may be more to your liking. I like the metaphor of rays of light - we all come from the source.

  • awwww.. .this one is so sweet!!! you write such beautiful poetry to people!! Good luck in the contest gramma!!!

    Hugs,
    Beth

Awwh Patty, this is really sweet and very loving a beautiful write. You just reflected a portrait of love a canvas of your very heart. You are the butterfly in the rays of sunshine your colors reflecting on the wings of love.

Thank you, Sweetie. I just love Karen. Well, everyone does, I believe. It's an honor to write for her, and it was good for my muse to pay a short visit as well.

    Rings around me!

    The sun just shines,
    each ray warm and bright
    to light my path,
    my thoughts
    with sustenance.

    Even on cloudy days
    there are rainbows
    to glisten
    the mist.

    One sunbeam
    carries the
    entire spectrum,
    not just in bows,
    but circles

    I have never
    imagined.

A kiss of sun you are, and I love your colors and circles! ~ Karen

Karen, my lovely friend, how can any poet really define your true beauty? I think it impossible though we all will try. Thank you for being such a dear friend and for lighting the way for me. Patricia

There are eleven roses here. The other resides in your mirror.
  • Beautiful.....

It brings a good feeling to read your words at any time, but these ones are simply beautiful. They ring true in every line, of the beauty, the compassion, and the sincerity found whenever Karen graces our lives. Many have been touched by her friendship and her love, and many will share with you in each thought brought forward in this write alone. Simply perfect. Beautiful words from and for a beautiful heart. Shared with us all, Thank you.
