The Aftermath

Dead Air
(The Confusion)

How can I sleep,
when I am in a world of pain?
All that I do,
seems to be nothing but in vain.

I feel my heart ready to explode,
as I'm carrying this heavy load!

For no one understands,
the pain I am going through.
To give it all up,
is this really what I must do?

My heart racing faster and faster,
preparing for the coming disaster!

Dead air,
it is so hard to breathe.
This world,
I want to leave.

Would I be more noticed,
if I were to die?
As the poet,
as the nice kind of guy?

When I look into the mirror,
my destiny is becoming clearer!

Whether I am to live or die,
wherever that life leads me.
If I am too live this lie,
then let it be.

Here I am with a golden smile,
knowing it's to last for a short while!

If you are there God,
then show yourself unto me.
Or am I to suffer alone,
is this the way it's meant to be?

It's so hard to count the cost,
when all hope seems to be lost!

The Hope that Lies Within Me
(The Understanding)

For the things in this life,
are never again to rip me apart.
It's not by my strength that I will conquer,
but the spirit that rages within the heart.

For the new things shall come,
and the old will be wiped away.
Give me the strength that I need,
to see the light of a new day.

It's time to test and approve,
to see what God has in store.
The things in life will come to be,
His promises no longer shall I ignore.

For I am sick and tired,
on giving up on what's to be.
No longer shall I get down,
for the hope that lies within me.

    He is our hope....

"I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe." ~ Ephesian 1:18-19

    Be blessed abundantly!
