It was ten years this past April
And Part of me wishes I could say
I am fine
But reality is I'm not
I still fell cheated and I'm still hurt
Truthfully "Fine" is just a myth
Each day that passes makes your passing
Just a little easier
And with each night surrcombing to a sunrise
And my awakeing
Makes life for me worth it
I took your advice and cried you a river
I can't say the river is dry
But it no longer controls my life
You, Your life and everything that made you, you
Lives on through me
Since you was called home early
I will cherish my memories
And they will Get me by until we meet again
Author notes
I loved writing this one. I hadn't writen to my brother in a while.
The name of the poem comes from a nickname he got in college. His name is Micheal and he high school friends called him Mike. But he went to college they reversed it and called him Ekim.

Aww
How sweet this poem is. I really loved the flow, and the title was very eye catching. I'm glad you explained it. I especially liked this part:
"I took your advice and cried you a river
I can't say the river is dry
But it no longer controls my life."
That is so true, and so beautiful.
