• I sleep at night and look ahead
My future is dull and I am sad
Cryptic days to come when I am a dad
And loving children to make me glad
• I want to have lovely kids
See their glimmering of their eyelids
Where no sadness will cause sids
Ripping my heart into bids
• No matter lad or lass
See them play on the green grass
Where no wind will come to harass
To hold days to come and never pass
• A lovely wife by my side
To whom my arms open wide
Holy as one we reside
Each to each we stride
• To have my wife and hug
Fluttering sweet like a lady bug
Hear them say daddy as they come to hug
Cuddle my family in a snug
• To have kids take them to school
As in the car they play and fool
See them glitter like priceless jewel
As the slants of rain drool
• In summer take them to the bay
See them in joy as they play
In winter to snow see them gay
In autumn with leaves, all day, sway
• Saturday to come
Road trips to become
See them have fun
See them sleep under the sun
• My eyes close and all did fade
It was a dream that my mind made
Illusions badly played
How I wish they stayed
