two reasons (christmas)

(i know it's not seasonal .. but i found it in a magizing from when my mom was in grade 7 with her name on it so i had to put it here )

On the day before Christmas
We were wrapping with care
And thinking of Christmas
In what way we share

We where thinking of presents
and how much we'd get
No one thinking of Jesus
No one not yet

When we think of Christmas
Everyone should know
Jesus was born then
A long time ago

He was born in a manger
In a bethlehem stable
There was nothing in it
Not even a table

So when thinking of Christmas
Think about two things
One is the presents
The other is Jesus

-found on back of a magizine with mothers name so i put it here

    It hurts my heart to see you sad
    and I can't help myself, and I cry
    It's like I was born to feel your pain
    and now my son, you are the same as I

    And now we suffer a circle of darkeness
    afraid of each others woes
    hearts aching in sorrow twice as much
    dont ask me how, but a mother knows

    I wish for us to use this gift
    to be stronger than ever
    bring our wishes and dreams and set them adrift
    and trust that our future will flow like the river

    This is so very true and it is a long way from crappy 1978 poetry. I like it alot and yes we should all be thinking of giving baby Jesus the gift of life ours to be exact. I am not a great believer but I do believe that there is a heaven adn hell I do believe in Jesus and God even though I am not impressed with what God has done in my life. Thank you for the write it was very well done..Your mother did a great job.
