In the beginning before time
There was a voice in the void,
A breath in the emptiness.
Dead silence, a hush then a whisper,
A stirring sound in the bareness
Dispelling the darkness with illumination.
A spark igniting to an explosion
Of white into arrays of color
Spreading out fast and furious.
Burning gases bond giving luminosity.
Balls of fire gather and condense,
Cool and solidify into dense spheres.
One special sphere stands in solitude.
A breeze blows across its surface.
Heavy tears fall into pools cooling.
Crystal clear pools recede leaving land,
Marshes, wetlands, lakes, ponds, rivers, streams
Digging, cutting deep valleys and canyons.
In a flash of lightning, a loud thunderous clap
Volcanoes explode, the earth shakes.
Mountains peaks rise above the land.
Bent down, sacred light places a seed.
A breeze of flora and fragrance in a sea of color
Spread across the land in a vast variety.
The expanse clears revealing
A lighted ball of fire to rule the day;
Reflected lighted rock to rule the night.
Dots of tiny lights fill the night sky,
Balls of gases burning far away
Till the sun rises to rule the day.
A violent wind stirs the waters.
Crustaceans, echinoderms, cnidarians form.
Fish fill the lakes, rivers and seas.
In a gusty gale a cloud of dust rises.
Insects and birds take flight
Filling the sky with colors dull and bright.
In a load roar of a booming voice
Fauna form from the small to the tall,
From the tiny infinitesimal to the huge colossal.
The voice stills to silence once again.
All of heaven is hushed and still
As love descends and weeps on the dirt.
Hands shape the clay into an image,
The likeness of love, himself, is formed.
Breath enters inside creating a soul.
The likeness of love is crowned
King of creation, lord of the land,
Ruler of the sea and master of the sky.
All is good and all is grand
Except
One.
Aloneness is empty and void.
Hushed to peaceful silent sleep
Beauty is pulled from the image of love.
The image awakes to behold beauty,
One in likeness to himself, an image of love.
Two are bound in unity and intimacy.
All is perfect; all is peaceful; all is well
Until
Pride.
Pride poisons paradise.
Intimacy hides in shame.
Oneness breaks into blame.
In a flash of lightning, a loud thunderous clap
Volcanoes explode, the earth shakes.
Paradise lays in ruin, destroyed.
Bent down, sacred light places a seed.
Love descends and weeps on the dirt.
All of heaven is hushed and still
Waiting for the seed to grow giving life.
