never before and never again,
will my heart be as full as now.
You are exalted and timely,
having touched something that will grow
blooming in my spirit.
Remember this day -
when June had begun,
rushing to become part of a
miraculous rebirth.
(I’d forgotten how to feel
special to someone.)
Remember this day -
when I was filled with laughter,
until I thought I might crack.
Read my words and know
they are my only way to reach you.
I hope it is enough.
Author notes
This is one of the first poems I wrote for a man I met on this website. Before we'd met face to face for the first time, we were both fairly sure we were in love. We started talking through our poetry on June 7th and this poem was written June 10th.
At the first of October, he moved, lock, stock & barrel nearly 1000 miles to move in with me.
So, I would say that this poem fits both option 4 initially and option 3 now!

Aww this is sooo sweet *is completely jealous* haha
I love the lines:
"when I was filled with laughter,
until I thought I might crack."
If your words are written through poetry, then it should be enough as the majority of poets write from their hearts
well done, good luck and thanks for entering.

You, make me love sick. This was fabulous and so damn cute I could die.

*pukes back* Yea, I know, huh? But I'm trying to write less gloom & doom...just to see if I could, were I properly inspired.

-
Of course you can write non doom and gloom, you aren't me you actually have a heart. LOL
-
-
A shattered, annilated heart but..yeah, present and accounted for. *g*

-
I would rather have a partial heart than just a crevice which holds the life force.
-
-
A crevice for your life blood...hmmm, vaguely familiar, no? *LOL*
