***Lost And Found***

Missing image
He had kissed her a thousand times in his dreams
held her passionately beneath silvery moon beams

The love of his life he had let go
moments and memories of her had lingered on so...

So deep within his heart and soul
without her for many years his love had still grown

Not a day had gone by without her caressing his mind
he had searched high and low for his childhood sweetheart to find

Giving fate one final chance
in the local news paper he placed an ad

If by chance you see this ad
meet me on Friday at eight inside Belles Restaurant

Friday came, dressed in a suit so fine
he looked at the door, then his watch for the time

The table was perfect set just for two
soft candle light, wine, with low music setting the mood

Taking a small sip of white wine
he looked over to the door astonished to find

A stunning woman a warm smile on her face
walking toward him full of elegant grace

Standing to greet her he pulled out a chair
she hadn't altered, to him she was still beyond compare

Her beauty radiated within the candle light
reaching for her hand he held her so lovingly, tight

All the past memories and passion started to flow
their hearts beating to the love song they alone knew

Nothing was said, as they searched each others eyes
all their love was still there soul mates for all time

Pulling her close their lips did meet
her taste lingered on his, like a wine so sweet

Within that moment they knew they would be
together forever...for all eternity

    Really beautiful writing Sugar. I found this stunning too. Beautiful imagery, the anticipation of the meeting, wondering if she will turn up. Then she appears, and a happy ever after is had by the both of them. You have surpassed yourself with this one Sugar. Good luck in the contest.

    THIS HAPPENS EVERY NOW AND THEN - BUT NOT NEARLY ENOUGH - FOR MANY FOLKS NEVER GET OVER THEIR FIRST TRUE LOVE!

    together forever...for all eternity

    Oh, if only this could be, Baby - so many sad, lonely, and heartbroken folks would feel like teens in love for the first time again - if you know what I mean - and they would all be so thankful and happy!
