a mothers love

i know that you saw me
the day you took your first step
unsteady and unsure you fell
but then you got back up

i know you knew i was there
when your first baby tooth cut
the red cheeks and pain you felt
i wanted so much to stop

i know you felt my love surround
the day you broke your arm
the mad rush to the hospital
i was right there beside you

i know you knew were i was
every moment i was round
i've always been right here
watching over you my sweet girl

i know that you reached for me
the first time you fell off your bike
the scrapes and the cuts that bleed
almost tore me apart

i know you called my name
in the middle of the night
scared and shivering
i held you in my arms

i know you heard my applause
your first dances recital
how nervous and worried you were
but i was so proud of you

i've watched over you sweetie
since the day you were born
kept you relatively safe
and kept you warm

i've watched every moment
significant and small
i've always been beside you
right through it all

i know you cant see me now
that you have grown up
have a new life to live now
one i cant be part off

goodbye my sweet daughter
thank you for all the love
the life i didn't get to live
memories otherwise i wouldn't have

Corrections: in the 5th stanza "the first time you fell OFF your bike"
    and...
in the 7th stanza "how NERVOUS and worried you were"

Besides the corrections that need to be made. I thought this was a pretty good poem about a mother's love. Congrats on a job well done. Good luck and thank you for entering
