If I could skip moments now and then
It would be actions led by sin
Poisoned behavior of a fucked up mind
Throwing up words not so kind
Saying stories that were not true
But, most of all, me hurting you
Author notes
Would you skip parts of life if you could? Why?

Short and sweet.
Shakespearean in its essence, (and I mean the Essence of the word, Essence) and only needing, if I may be a bit critical, a tad more restraint on your meter...but only if you were going for the W.S. thing... By itself it stands wonderful. A strong minor couplet!

Yes, those would be the parts most of us regret and would like to have skipped in our life. Goes well with the chosen prompt.

Good Job

As tempting as it seems, I don't think I would want to skip anything in my life. Well, maybe a few.
This is a very thought provoking poem. Well done. Good luck in the contest.
