A new spring breeze brushes past
It surely shall not be the last
Upon the wind a petal floats
An emblem of what nature dotes
Dew drops rest upon the leaves
So many colors thou should perceive
Scarlet, violet, pearl, and rose
A thousand highs to quell the lows
Following dark winter’s strife
A warm air rises, teemed with life
Birth, rebirth as the waiting die
Old love, new love sprouts wings to fly
A hundred blossoms swathe the land
Take the buds within thy hands
Each a token of a newborn soul
Modest now, but someday whole
The world bathed in luminosity
The twittering birds singing to thee
In this heaven, sorrow holds no sway
Pushed back years to yesterday
Following dark winter’s strife
A warm air rises, teemed with life
Birth, rebirth as the waiting die
Old love, new love sprouts wings to fly
