Dawning

Windy twilight glances
Like the crash of a thousand lances
and darkly whispers in places I have lain
Though I go and you remain
look not for me in darkness grave
with rosy spears tall and brave
but in the light on the horizon
when the work of darkness done
I will come, bright banner unfurled
and shed my light upon your world
