Along came those jolly people with fire in their eyes to entertain hungry
Ethiopian belly’s, singing songs of freedom and motherland, initiating high
aspirations to those caught in a hurricane
They came with everything to gain and nothing to claim, dressed in colours
bright red and white, to spread splendour to those misled and crippled by too
much wine and high life, they came to tolerate those who rained disruption
on their reputation, to raise a tonne of cash for those who had none
Crime was rife in places, race an issue that produced corruption, sometimes
a gun could be heard, than a child is dead. On a riverbed more lay dying,
crying babies on dirt poor rugs. Displaced people everywhere, throwing dice
for a space in line, cries of pain traced back to misplaced rain
Oh it was a disgrace, but in the middle of it all, those jolly people put on a
show to entertain all in the name of fun and awareness. Tribes the land over
came from far and wide, they came to forget their upset and digest buns to
irritate those that remained behind
Oh those jolly people, how they tolerate all to put on a show, all in the name
of fun, all in the name of fun and awareness
A song sung to prolong joy to those so wronged, a billabong giving relief
among some, young and old grieving to belong, told they need be strong
to right their wrong. A young mother holding infant child in bereavement
as a tyrant seized his moment to plunder, a young father told to surrender
only son to this offender as bystanders could only flounder
Now no life evident where residents once flourished, only strife and foolish
toy boy soldiers left to anguish, brainwashed to languish in their establishment
their pubescent years not yet relevant, murdering those who opposed them
Others older, on rape rampage to perpetrate a cancerous rage, laughter
heard in their carnage. Than a newsreel revealed some hope, a race to give
coverage to their volatile situation. Outrage leapt from every corner
of the globe, head of state saw too late their anticipated fate
Oh it was a disgrace, but in the middle of it all, those jolly people put on a
show to entertain all in the name of fun, all in the name of fun and awareness
Wondering people becoming disengaged and outraged as hysteria spread
throughout their clan, overwhelmed as plans to give them bran came near
Their plight televised live to drive others to greatness, innocent people were
seen to be crying as babies lay dying. Crying people everywhere, busy going
nowhere. A great depression setting in as they wrestled with their hysteria
Diarrhoea, a by product of their suffering. Gonorrhoea spreading terror
amongst those still left amorous. Malaria, very generous to all, than aids
had to come along and everybody it touched had a great fall
Teenage sons and daughters, the old and very frail, the very young and unborn,
they all come to suffer because of that four letter word
Oh it was a disgrace, but in the middle of it all, those jolly people put on a
show to entertain all in the name of fun, all in the name of fun and awareness
The theatre show came to praise the blues and soothe the healing for all
those privileged to have made it through the blockade, they come to entertain
and to give the people some hope. They came in the rain, not to seek fame
They came when it was dry, only to cry. They came and saw how the people
survived, and as they arrived, the people saw some hope in bags of rice by
the tonne load. Mice paid the ultimate price as they tried to cope with the
influx. Everyone had cartloads for awhile, than the roads became very
dangerous as truckloads of rice went astray, taken away by a warlord hell
bent on annihilation, to claim this ravaged land for his own sick purpose
Feeding his hungry armies while misguided people starved, enslaved in their
own deplorable situation, forgetting their symbolical heritage.
Oh it was a disgrace, but in the middle of it all, those jolly people put on a
show to entertain all in the name of fun, all in the name of fun and awareness

I need to read it more carefully
as a whole
good job with suggestion -
you can have shorter paragraphs
it just too much
-
well
this is an essay not a poem
but it is very good
can you break up the content a little
change the structure of the content
to seem more like a poem
do not use paragraphs
break between sentences
