the holy dance

So shall you choose to dance with the devil,
to find your places so serene.
So shall you choose to dance with an angel,
that promises pastures green.
So if you choose to dance with the devil who allows you to wish upon the star,
So if you choose to dance with an angel who promises to get you far.
So if you choose to throw your life to another's control,
so if you choose to gamble making proffits on your soul.
No devil nor angel determines where you fall upon the shelf,
the only one that leads you to salvation is yourself.

Author notes

I really can't quite define where the inspiration to this poem dwells, I enjoy contributing a piece every day. I try to. I just started writing, and this is what came out of it.
I was about to call this a poem without meaning but I think I just found one. Religiously or generally, both sides shall promise salvation, but in the end self made decisions always prove to be the best.
Hope y'all enjoy this.

I see a diffrent meaning to this, that you cant give yourself to anyone, that your have to make your owne choices because nether good or bad people can help you get to what you want, that you should not care about what people say but what you do for yourself will bring you to salvation and that the choice is simple when i comes to choose who to dance with, dance alone and you will find a diffrent way to move.

I see my new direction is working.

It's not that I choose to hold back certain meanings of things I say, but my new intention has become to leave my poem very open. Mome of rocks best musicians right now, Filter, Theory Of A Deadman, and 10 Years have all stated in recent interviews that they like to allow the fans to draw their own meaning from their work. Seems rediculous, but my goal in joining allpoetry was to vent myself while inspiring others.
Know that your reply is neither write nor wrong, it's simply what you've drawn out of it. One step closer to completing my poetic journey.
