Guilded silhouettes...

are what mankind desires
while emerald blades
bring ruby drips higher.

Sapphire tears
trace mahogany hips
belying white agate teeth
enfolded in
garnet lips…
whose magic sets ablaze
sovereign commanding sticks.

Looking around
through eyes of glass
at the Hearts of diamonds
as they are hustled past.

Found...

questionable treasures,
deep within ground,
created in the world
by pressures and heat
and chemical applications,
regardless of light or sound,

Hidden in still darkness
away from chaos and destiny
while hot breathed beasts
walk overhead easily,
by four feet or two feet
or upon breast or leg.

To capture these jewels
is to dig past the dead,
to rip into territories
of the long-time
tread old ground...

It is here
precious stones
are tracked and found.
