Sitting on a cliff face
surrounded by others
aiming to enjoy a
touch of isolation.
Together we rest and
contemplate the vista
in silence, the silence
of strangers. I think that,
each of us is trying
to find ourselves in those
foaming, breaking, waves.
Secretly, we all hope
we'll find answers in the
stinging, salty, sea breeze,
or the grating call of
a windswept, lonely, gull.
Please tell me what you think

The poet brings us back to nature once more to reawaken our taste for its purity and wonder. As refreshing as a spring rain with its promise of renewal. Special moments that kindle the imagination and stir the heart are what make life worth living. You captured a precious moment in time and shared it with us all.
I feel you use "silent or silence" too often and it tends to sound repetitive, maybe change this line to read "Silently, we all hope" to Secretly, we all hope".
