The Cost of War

Millions die,
they say that they are simply collateral,
but those who say such aren't dead,
or emotionally and mentally scarred for life,
they haven't seen children beaten unconscious,
women raped to death,
the advocates of war have rarely killed anyone,
or seen the horrendous conditions of the concentration camps,
Auschwitz,Buchenwald, Dachau...
pits full of bodies,
those left alive merely skin and bones,
of men women and children no one is spared...
those who say its merely the cost of war have no idea.
They've never had to fight, never been shot,
the idea of being stabbed with a bayonet is foreign,
as is contemplating suicide just to escape....
all these notions are beyond them,
yet still they simply state: they are the cost of war.

I wrote this in like grade 8 I think. I just randomly found it today so posted it, with a few minor corrections I made. Its super disorganized and odd...but whatever anyways feel free to state your opinion and offer advice
