What I want to be
A usually hard decision
To me is a simple matter
Earning lots of money
Like a lawyer
Isn't my way of life
Saving a person's life
Like a great doctor
Just isn't me
Being a hero,
Like a police man or fire fighter
Is better left to them
For me, it's something simple
Something dear to the heart
That is all me
I want to be a writer
Share my imagination with the world
Letting them in on my secrets
Page by page
My story unfolds
Starting on page one
Many ideas are in my head
Bursting to come out
Like a fire on my fingertips
Each story is unique
Telling their own tale
Ready to have their lives told
Shared across the world
What I want to be is simple
I want to be a writer
But writing is me
So I guess I'm better off
Just wanting to be me
Author notes
I have the dream to one day become a novelist. I have been working on a story. One is done, but needs major editing. Otherwise, I am still working on others.
