Sad it is what I see today,
very seldom are there children at play.
living in an electronic home,
a place where parents leaves their children alone.
What once was laughter silence took its place,
with children like drones with a blankness upon their face.
No words do they speak and posture is no more,
hiding behind closed doors.
Electronic parents that cares not what they see,
brain washed to violence and sex for today we feel theirs no need.
Keep them busy and out of your hair,
when was the last time you were truly aware.
From the stagnant life loneliness sets in,
they know not what its like with others to join in.
If it doesn't come in a box they are lost indeed,
yet few can see what I see.
Would you take your child and lock them away,
Would you say not a word to them along the way.
Would you know so little of them they become strangers in time,
Look about you and see today this is your children's life.
At four as they enter Kinder-garden was the day it all began,
you shuffle them off to strangers just as they are beginning stand.
After work tell me now what is it that you do,
I know for I have seen today's family so abused.
When was the last time the family sat and talked,
when was the last time you heard your child's laughter and took a walk.
Its no surprise how our children act today,
for they have been taught the electronic way.
Uncensored uncaring of their teachings of today,
as long as they are quiet and out of your way.
Tell me since you are the parent who's fault is it when they fall,
don't you think its about time for a reality call.

Good luck in the contest....
