The dark serpent whispers in my ear
Foul words that sound sweet to hear
The fruit it says I should partake
Its luscious truths it holds is something I should taste
Words warped with logic
Seize my mind
And quickly I partake of the fruit
Oh how sweet it tastes, simply divine
To keep the commandments asked of me
I break another
Dear Adam join me
And this new knowledge
Cast out of this grand garden
Angels teach and preach
To survive I must learn
Now food, shelter and safety are my concern
Lies wrapped among truths
Tempted and succeeded
In tricking me to partake of the fruit
Now to return to our fathers presence is my only pursuit
