If I am as special as they say
where is my knight that's true?
If I deserve love where my head lay
why must they try to break through?
If I am as wonderful as this
why must you laugh at my heart?
If I deserve love with every kiss
then why tear my soul apart?
If you like it when I speak out
why hush me when I speak real?
If you love it that I never shout
why stop silence that can heal?
If you love my hair with every twist
why tell me to make it straight?
If you admire I raise no fist
why look at me with such hate?
If everything you say is a lie . . .
It's time to say goodbye.
