Pretty Girls

They walk the halls with their perfect hair
Their faces all made up in tears
Mascara runs down cheeks so fair
As each succumbs to their fears

Katie's heartbroken; he left her alone
For a girl that he thought more lovely
She cries every night, she screams and she moans
Oh why, oh why can't he love me?

Fawn's too unique, hates the way that they stare
They tease her, they won't leave her be
She turns for a shoulder but nobody's there
Oh why can't I just live for me?

Kate suffers in silence, her eyes filled with pain
Nobody could know how she feels
She stands in the open beneath torrents of rain
Oh why can't my life seem more real?

They walk the halls with their perfect hair
Their faces all made up in tears
Mascara runs down cheeks so fair
As each succumbs to their fears

Author notes

This is option three: "Pretty Girls" by Against Me! I wrote this about two of my friends and myself, because it seems lately like all of us are going through the roughest times. I hope you like it.
