Hope

Missing image

Freedom..

Just beyond my fingers reach,

freedom from this path

of misery I wish to breach.

No more of this wrath.

Chains..

They bind me, empty me of hope,

filling me with anger, fear, and grief,

making it hard to cope.

There's only disbelief.

Struggling..

To continue living this life,

but I know I must make it through,

cause it'll be worth all the strife.

And in the end you'll be there, too.

Hope..

Believing in the light,

that these chains will come undone,

and in the end we'll all delight.

The battle will be won.

    fantastic

This is the kind of poem that you want to read it twice in order to get a little more of it. I think you have perfectly captured the concept of hope.
