If only night were day
then I wouldn't have to cry
as I watched you die.
If only night were day
then I would have said something
something to make you stay.

and if only night was day.
Then I wouldn't be in such a dissaray
nor would you I betray.

I know what you mean, sometimes the things we want would make life so much easier and it would make us feel so much more happier and be able to make those we care about much more happier as well.

Yeah it's always hard to see someone suffer knowing there's nothing you can do for them; it's even worse when you have to watch them break.
