Lead Pencil Player's Prayer

Lead on O graphite lead,
Explain your thoughts to me
As on the paper we
Dance on, dot, dash ahead.
Pencil to paper wed
Eternally may free
New versions constantly –
Creations scarcely read  ?
In moments, trammels shed,
Life sparkles inwardly,
Poetic harmony :
Line after line is fed
As on thought waves we’re sped.
Yet with sense, form, in key
Enlightenment we see
Responding, sharing spread ...

Sometimes, I am the only one who reads my words...& it is enough, my Friend. I can never read enough of your incredible words, though.

I think you should add this poem to your humour list as I found it amusing. I wonder if your computer uses graphite lol. As one who has temporarily lost her muse I wish my lead would lead me somewhere, anywhere ... and explain its thoughts to me. "Creations scarcely read?" ... yes it is a shame that millions of excellent pieces of work go unread but if the creation of them allows the author to release worries from their mind, isn't that a good enough reason for them to be written? This poem is short, sweet, to the point and I like it very much
