Special One

We are the special ones

who are tested against the limits,

to be brought to splendid silence

of the Real and its speaking.

The unlimited limits:

to find its ears and eyes

giving tongue to speak the language,

of lover and beloved's conversation.

Don't despair you special one

you think so deprived of beauty,

all measured within presence

in your self, else would you know

about it anyway?

All; you have been hurt,

hungry with needing,

in rivers run dry

embraced to be brought through,

towards arrival in simplicity

to taste the very being

of your ever truly desired,

Give your sensibilities

you special one

into their very own -

eye and ear of the Special One,

you are not alone with yourself.

Author notes

This write is intended to expose unlimited invitation to all.

All who have been hurt, have suffered or are simply hungry for true satisfaction, often seemingly allusive.
This is to say that we are all, 'The Special Ones', in the light of a sincere spirit of intention towards coming closer to the truth and this action being seen as centrally relevant in facing our difficulties.

      Thanks for your question...

It is because there aren't two or more 'reals', there is only one and therefore it is a proper noun- The Real, the Reality of all realities, the Reality of all things.

The poem attempts to express how we are all connected to this same one Reality:

The Reality cannot be known as a 'thing' in relativity because it is beyond any thing. In this respect it is 'silent' yet from this 'silence' it speaks things into existence as its own 'words' because there is no other existence for them, this being their reality. Each things reality being no-thing other than the Reality which includes them all. You could therefore say that each person is such a 'word' or name of Reality and the poem suggests that this is the true nature of our own being.

I hope this helps to answer it?

The depth of your words can breathe some life into a desperate heart . Perhaps we, those alone, need to look inside for their own love and become masters of their own heart. Always a write that causes one to ponder from a fine poet

    Sol,

This piece speaks to me personally, definitely, and I understand your drawing it into each person's struggle also. You have a wonderful ability to seem to sense personal pain, for me, too. Very lovely poem, my friend!

It was intended to speak personally, so your comment is received with much 'smile'.

      Thank you faith.

Ah! Don't remove this one (I see you were contemplating it). I was about to say it's one of my favourites.

I love all of it as is anyway. The wording is easy for all to hear, which is especially relevant for this piece,
    I think.

    I love it. X

Kept the verse, with slight modification.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it so much and hope you still do.

When and if you feel an urge to do this in future, please don't hesitate for a moment. Sometimes when struggling, I have found myself wondering, 'How would Liza arrange this?' and I'm so pleased to receive an example.

I will be considering carefully and may well make changes inspired by this, if you have no objection?

      What a gift!

I think I can hear Rumi speaking through you in this poem. But, a question (or more): is deprivation the real problem, the drought, the famine? It seems as if you are creating a cosmos in which an intelligence seemingly retracts and denies the essence from an individual. Satisfaction - does the cup need to be filled with nectar or does the cup shine in recognising its limits, the glass walls shining with brilliance in the presence or absence of the shining light? Is the recognition of onneness with creation the essence?

      Very generous comment! Thank you.

The depravation addressed here as I understand it, is that which we impose on our own selves through staying with our own limited vision and understanding, particularly in situations of difficulty, not anything else. Mainly, that which is brought about by our own creation. This doesn't offer a cure for physical calamities but attempts to point to a new way of being, in the way we relate to everything which comes about.

The recognition of 'oneness' is a journey for Mankind, regarding his seeking of satisfaction, all else surely is simply and already perfectly what it is, in its 'oneness'.

Hope this answers the questions and thanks for them.

i think you could end it on - back to its very own.. the last two lines are repititious and a little over-cooked hun...

but apart from that.. tis softly laid on the eyes and ears, soulful indeed

almost edible to the sweetness of a soul's drifting in space and time

    beautimous piece

Ta'... That's a little funny because I was thinking of removing both the 2nd and 3rd to last stanzas completely but the last... I don't know?

I believe 'you are not alone with yourself' is exactly the truth of what people in difficulty need to hear. Plus the need to know exactly where to put 'your eye and ear' giving it back to the Special One, which isn't the same as the one who needs to give it back.

I appreciate your advice though, as I always do. I did think it perhaps a little wordy so will look at it again... later.

I think this is amazing my friend.. I see you exploring the path to your inner journey. you found the passion that lives within. This whole thing manifest new ‘ realm’ when you are able to talk to your soul as you call it here your ‘special one’ and I see you have great potential to unlock your spiritual gift. And that’s blessing because not everyone have that special gift. Wonderful thought provoking piece Sol.

Thank you Ruby, also for telling me about the double listing error, I don't know how that happened!

Yes, the write is equally intended as an invitation to all.
All who have been hurt, have suffered or are simply hungry for true satisfaction, often seemingly allusive.
