Years of trial yet no sucess
leave the scars to show my failed attempts
the emotional pain
and the razor reveals
the core of my problems
as each freash cut is stiched and healed
hiding physical pain
from the real pain inside
you loose yourself within the razors shine
your refelection becomes distorted and bleak
as everyone else leaves your side
and it is your true self you see
to give them what they truly want
or to put down the only thing you have known for so long
will they think less of you
and do you want change
it is you and only you who can decide this one thing
some times we let others take our wheel
go with each curve
until we have to change our own gear
once we realize we have made it this far
the collison reports that once read totalled
now read used
and we can drive on our own once more
still there are scratches that show the battle we have been through
but to know that we won
is something most are unable to do
the collision report that once read totalled
and the dents and scratches on our racecars hood
are now soaring in the fastlane
freashly painted
and fearless
as the dents and scratches
are waved over by the checker flag
as the job is done.
