When God speaks to you, it has all our attention. Such a wonderful silence.

This is really quite beautiful

I love it, in every way.
Every words sticks with me.
Very nicely written
Good luck in your contest! -
Thomas Merton, wrote in his book, THE SIGN OF JONAS(1951):This morning was like the morning of that first poem, the retreat in the guest house, ten years ago.
Two pages later, he wrote: There, there is the crooked tree, the moss with my unspoken words, those pines upon that cliff of shale, the valley living with the tunes of diesel trains.
His conclusion reminds me of this excellent definition of poetry that you have given us: What happens after that? Do you put down "The rest is silence" and close the book and sell it to the public?
