but now have lost the kitten
The building had been derelict so long
but now was inhabited by poor, previously homeless people
squatting within the dampness of it's decaying walls
As the clouds linger in the cool night sky
creating eerie shadows
she bears her soul to her closest friend
Tears stain her now molded pillow
Typical, just when I was having fun
I was just
born too late
