Without Life

Without love, what would we have
But lies, anger, and hate
Though we can't have one and not the other
So it may be a limbo state

If no one loved, and no one cared
We could not hope, we would have no dreams
Would we be in the middle
With no bottoms, no extremes

But if no one loved,we would not be free
Since we would have no passion
We could not rise up
No one would practice compassion

Then again, with no love for life
Would we realize our cage
When there is nothing to lose
Could we wait out our age

Without love we are without life
