To whom it may concern

To whom it may concern.
I am seeking the one who hears the tears.
Whose virtues are unlimited patience and unending belief.
Wisdom and knowledge of creation's soulful needs.

One who knows how it hurts to bleed.
Has felt the pain of betrayal and loss.
Places proper priority on care of family.
Respects the weak and the old with dignity.

Does not cast eyes down upon faces of poor.
My request is simple at best.
Please pour down healing relief
for we have forgotten unending belief.
Unlimited patience is lost in our grief,
wearily consumed by markets of greed.
Faithfully yours..........Earth.

I can not think of a better and more heart felt message from Earth, then the words on this page. Although the trophy is so well deserved, I congratulate you for representing Earth so well from your heart. I only hope we all hear this message, and all gather to her rescue, every individual of every Nation.

I'm so happy to have come accross this tonight. Can never be reminded enough, and in the most touching and down to Earth way, you have!

This is a fabulous piece of work. what you've said here really moved me. Thanks so much for sharing. Best of luck
  • Stunning piece of work here. People should read this, sit up and take notice. The imagery and heartfelt message within this work is there for all to see. The Earth is hurting, and we need to make her better. Because, if we do not, then the consequences do not bare thinking about.

    Fantastic my sister.

Oh, if only the eatrh had a voice, would it be

screaming for us to get off, or begging us to show compassion. The earth is God's jewel, its many facets shine, but it is far too long in need of a good polishing and I am afraid we are the blight. great write!~~~Artis

  • Stunning write! It definitely spoke to me!

May the earth find what it seeks, I pray. Nice write. The cynicism oozes from this one, and yet there is a hopefulness, as though one suchmight be found. Very thought provoking.

I felt that all the way through this peom, your sentiment far outweighed your use of language and imagery. The terrific, bomshell ending left me wondering if the poem might have been missing something.

Interesting graphic. The lines read for me like a last ditch incantation to whatever/whoever could hear and assist. An exceptionally emotively worded sos expressed so as to appeal to a wide audience. Well expressed.

  • Truly Wonderful!

    This was absolutely Phenomenal!

"One who knows how it hurts to bleed.
Has felt the pain of betrayal and loss.
Places proper priority on care of family.
Respects the old and weak with dignity."

    "Faithfully yours.........Earth."

    Well done,

  • Wow awesome graphic. I love the way you start the poem. It grabbed my attention. It speaks clearly but in a voice that wasn't typical.

It is the epitome of prayer in earnest. Without the doctoring up of thee's and thou's or anything that would candy coat the request. Just pure and simple expression of need. Nicely done.

So much of what I write is in hopes of drawing
attention to the needless demolition of our
mother earth. You give these thoughts spiritual
overtones and chant-like rhythm with rhyme.
Patience and belief are two elements the natives
of these lands lived each day. We have fallen
far from Her natural rhythms, have replaced her
gifts with lacking creations of our own...
thus disrespecting her in so many ways without
thought, without repent. We all need to step back
from what "normal" life has become and give ourselves
a chance to heal. Thank-you so much for the link and
for finding a connection between myself and these
    wise sentiments. Blue

  • This has.

This has a deeply insightful spiritual aspect to it. I find it soothing this morning after a rather difficult day yesterday. I am glad that I did read it because believe it or not right now this has a special meaning to me.

  • This is a little uncanny. I have just been amidst writing a poem concerning the same subject of 'Earth' also, and intending its use as a contest prompt.

Most worthy qualities to request from a spirit of compassion.
Nice write and good luck in the contest ears!
