“I will tell you what hoss,
I am da boss,
You’d best do what I say”!
So says the baby grand,
She makes her stand,
You’ll listen or you’ll pay.
As she’s playing her game,
Nothing’s the same,
Since she came ‘round to stay.
For she’s a trend setter,
No one’s better,
Teaching me how to play.
With jiggle and wiggle,
Makes me giggle,
Keeps me grinning all day!
Author notes
My great-grandbaby Deja, she keeps me busy! Photo by me.

What a cute little moppet!
The little ones are the best in my book. This poem was a delight to read and I love the picture. What a head of curls! In your fifth line did you mean?: "She makes her stand" Keep your pen to the page and thanks for entering! -
Absolutely darling! Uhh....the poem too
We grandparents often find ourselves in this hilarious position, don't you love it? Let the parents worry about mundane matters (like discipline) we've done our bit.
Your poem reads well and even better, made me giggle. Best wishes from a Nana
