all night, angled moonlight slants
casting shadows in the sigh of waves,
formed in a slumbering sea’s tossing and turning
the sleeping mind’s wind rolls across an expanse,
the unconscious bed of unrealized thought
folding itself into a lifeboat,
a fetch of the whole self dreams,
searching into possibility’s pre-formed state,
begins the circumnavigation of forever’s plane,
from this moment on into the gulf of a world of difference
embedded, just below reality’s surface
separated, yet still alive, neglected sea creatures,
teeming beneath swells,
waiting within the trough and crest of surging waves,
the undulating destruction creation potential of wild primitive desires,
until such a time, untangling rough seas, rolling ashore,
spilling over the edge of significant waves
of lost at sea and the fear of drowning,
casts an awareness, the inseparable link of body and soul
